Layla grew up in Plattsburgh, New York as a three sport athlete. In addition to being a Co-owner of The Dugout, she is the founder and Co-owner of Victory Fastpitch Academy. 

“With 17 years of playing experience and over a decade of coaching experience my biggest goal with starting Victory was creating a place for young women and girls to call home. My softball career ended in an injury which taught me how quickly the game can change. It is also why I began coaching. I wanted to teach lessons within the safety of sport. Coaching players to be prepared for higher level softball and life at the same time is what I strive to achieve. I am so proud of what were building here at Victory, from working as the lead instructor for hitting, fielding and throwing with girls as young as 5 to the players I have watched commit to colleges. I have enjoyed working with them all and helping them reach their goals, big or small.” 

Layla is passionate about turning every one of her players into the best athletes and women they can be.
